Kid getting a haircut at Next Level Barber Shop, Cape Coral FL

A kids haircut at Next Level runs $25 for ages 12 and under. The chair time is 25 minutes. Walk in any day, and Sunday morning is the kid-friendliest window.

What does a kids haircut cost in Cape Coral?

$25 for boys ages 12 and under at Next Level Barber Shop. The price includes the cut, a quick line-up at the front, the neck cleanup, and a brush-down. There is no surcharge for the first haircut, no extra fee for fidgeting, and no upsell on shampoo or product. We have done thousands of kids cuts at this shop. The price is the price.

Add-ons we get asked about often:

What is the best age for a first haircut?

Most parents bring a child in between 12 and 18 months for the first one. By that age the hair is long enough that a real cut shows, and most kids will sit through 15 minutes if a parent holds them on their lap. We have seen first haircuts as young as 9 months and as old as 4 years. Either end works.

If your kid is the kind who screams the second they see scissors, do not panic. We will use clippers only (no scissors near the face), let them hold a phone or a toy, and pause whenever they need to take a breath. The chair time stretches to 30 or 35 minutes the first time. By the third or fourth visit, most kids sit calmly through the full cut.

What time of day is best to bring a kid?

Two windows work the best from a parent perspective:

  1. Sunday, 10 AM to 12 PM: the quietest day of the week. Wait time averages 5 to 12 minutes. The shop is calmer, fewer adults waiting, less stimulation for a tired kid. We open at 10 AM Sunday, close at 2 PM.
  2. Saturday morning, 8 AM to 9:30 AM: first slot of the busiest day. Walk in right at open and you usually get a chair immediately. By 10 AM the wait jumps to 30+ minutes.

Avoid Friday afternoon and Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM. Those are the longest waits of the week, the loudest shop, and the most antsy kids in the lobby.

What kinds of kids haircuts do you do?

The five most common requests at our chair:

How often should kids get a haircut?

Depends on the cut and how fast your kid grows. The ballpark numbers we see at the shop:

School photos, family events, and the start of the school year are the three peaks for kids haircuts. We get a wave the week before Lee County schools start in early August and another wave the week before holiday photos in early December.

Do you do girls haircuts too?

We do simple length trims on girls and short cuts (pixie, bob, and similar) when parents bring them in. For longer hair styles or color services, we recommend a salon. The shop is set up for shorter, structured cuts. That is what every barber here is trained for.
