What Does a Beard Trim Include?

A beard trim at Next Level is a 20-minute session covering hot towel to soften the hair, cheek and jawline shaping with a trimmer, hard lines with a straight razor or foil shaver, and beard oil at the close. The beard is worked around the shape of your face — your cheekbones, jawline, and neck height set where the lines fall. It is not a single template for everyone.

We serve Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, and Matlacha. SW Florida humidity demands different care than a dry climate — we cover that in the upkeep section below.

What Happens in the Chair

How the Visit Runs

  1. Quick consult. The barber asks the desired length, whether you want a sharper or rounder shape, and looks at your face shape.
  2. Hot towel. 90 seconds on the face to soften the hair and open pores before any trimmer touches.
  3. Trim and shape. Trimmer with guard set to length, cheek and jawline, straight razor or foil shaver for hard edges.
  4. Close. Beard oil, hand mirror to check, talc for the neck. You pay cash or card.

Upkeep in Florida Weather

High SW Florida humidity (70-90% from June through September) affects facial hair: it curls, traps sweat, and the skin underneath irritates faster. Basic rules:

Common Questions

How much does a beard trim cost?
$15 from for the standard trim. Detailed line design (with straight razor work) is $20. The cut + beard combo is $43. Cash and credit card accepted.
How often should I trim my beard?
Every 3-4 weeks to keep the shape clean. If your beard grows fast or you want sharp lines (cheek line, neck line), drop to 2 weeks. For long beards (over 2 inches), you can stretch to 5-6 weeks with home touch-ups between visits.
Do you do a full straight-razor shave?
Hard lines and edges with a straight razor every day. A full classic hot-shave (whole face) we schedule by appointment — call (239) 347-7992 to set time, runs 35-40 minutes.
Can you trim just the mustache?
Yes. Mustache-only trim is $5 when added to a haircut or beard combo. Standalone (no combo) is $10 with the same process: trimmer, razor for the lip line, brush styling.
What if I have sensitive skin or razor bumps?
Tell the barber before we start. We switch to a foil shaver instead of a straight razor for the lines, and apply alcohol-free aftershave. If razor bumps are active, we trim with a guard only and skip the lines until the next visit — no bleeding.
